DNA Hydrolysis by Antibodies
Catalysis of various chemical transformations by antibodies opens broad perspect
Catalysis of various chemical transformations by antibodies opens broad perspectives in the fundamental and applied branches of life science (1 ). Antibodies are ideally suited for therapeutic applications owing to their capability of homing to a particular target. In addition, they happily withstand stringent conditions and, therefore, are easy to isolate and manipulate. These advantages have provoked considerable interest in the idea that new catalytic antibodies could substitute for enzymes in therapy.
